The Yantai government promoted its 16 major cultural and tourism projects at Shandong's first promotional conference for cultural and tourism. The city's three seashore tourist resorts are listed below.

Penglai west seashore cultural tourism resort

With a planned area of 25.25 square kilometers, the Penglai west seashore cultural tourism resort will be an international high-end resort integrating cultural tourism, R&D of cultural products, conventions, healthcare and recreation.

Haiyang Shanhai tourist resort

With a planned construction area of 5,000 mu (333.33 hectares), Haiyang Shanhai tourist resort will be a large scale cultural and tourism resort integrating sightseeing, entertainment, gourmet, healthcare and accommodation.

The resort will be located in Xinan town, Longshan street, Haiyang and plans to attract an investment of 5 billion yuan ($706.89 million).

It is expected to bring in annual profits of 800 million to 1 billion yuan.

Longkou seashore tourist resort

With a planned area of 6,237 mu and an investment of 15 billion yuan, Longkou seashore tourist resort will focus on healthcare, tourism, culture and featured towns, making full use of Longkou’s natural and cultural resources.

The project is expected to generate an annual revenue of 3 billion yuan.
