Yantai holds fair to greet Lunar New Year

A fair showcasing local handicrafts kicked off at the Art Museum in Yantai, East China‘s Shandong province, on Jan 19 in celebration of the upcoming Lunar New Year, according to local media reports.
A dazzling array of handicrafts were on display, including paper cuttings, paper rollings, dough sculptures, clay figurines, potteries, and inbetweenings.
The Art Museum plans to organize a series of activities during the Spring Festival.
On Jan 25, the first day of the lunar year, cartoonists will be invited to draw comic characters and teach those who are interested.
On Jan 26, a similar event will be held featuring paper-cutting artists, on Jan 27 featuring dough sculptors, and on Jan 28 featuring illustrators.
On Feb 8, the Lantern Festival, a lantern riddle activity will be organized, a tradition during the festival.
