A batch of 6,700 New Zealand cattle worth nearly 100 million yuan ($14.7 million) was shipped to Yantai port, East China's Shandong province on Jan 15.
It is the first batch of bulk cargo to be shipped to Yantai port in 2020 and the largest ever batch of animals to be shipped to the port.
In order to reduce stress caused to the animals and improve their survival rate, staff members of Yantai customs made sure to abide by regulations.
The customs set up a "green passage" for the cattle and completed disinfection six hours before the arrival of the ship.
