Shandong Airlines flight SC2283 departed from Yantai and landed at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok, Thailand on Dec 3.
This route linking the Chinese cities of Yantai and Linyi to Bangkok is the first southeastern Asian air route to be opened by Shandong Airlines at Yantai airport.
The flight is operated every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. It will depart at 19:20 from Yantai, arrive in Linyi at 20:25, depart Linyi at 21:55, and land in Bangkok at 1:25 the next day.
The return flights will take off from Bangkok at 2:25, arrive in Linyi at 7:35, depart Linyi at 9:05, and land in Yantai at 10:15.
The route will strengthen cooperation between Shandong and Thailand in foreign trade, cultural exchange and tourism. It is also an important measure boosting the construction of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Yantai has been rising in importance as a transit shipment hub since the launch of the Yantai Area of the Shandong Pilot Free Trade Zone in August.
The Yantai Penglai International Airport also released a preferential transfer policy. The transfer service covers 22 airline companies, including China Eastern Airlines and Shandong Airlines.
