Ten thousand students from 30 universities in Yantai gathered along the coastline stretching from Yangma Island to Penglai to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China, which falls on Oct 1.

Students carried miniature national flags and flowers as they sang "Me and My Motherland" to express their love for China.
