Yantai, a coastal city in eastern Shandong province, returned to calm after the effects of typhoon.

Lekima, the ninth and strongest ever typhoon of the year, hit Shandong province on Aug 11, which brought strong winds and heavy rainfall to the coastal areas of Shandong.

After whirling through the Shandong Peninsula and Laizhou Bay, it veered northeast before weakening.
