Yantai-based Dacheng Food Company operates a peanut processing field in Shandong province and exports its products to Japan, South Korea and other Southeast Asian countries and regions.
Founded in 1998, Dacheng Food focuses on the research and development, production, sale, service, import and export of peanut products. It has nearly 300 employees, more than 60 technicians and an annual production capacity of up to 20,000 tons.
According to Li Wanjin, general manager of the company, Dacheng Food has developed dozens of brands such as "Huiwo" and "Luohuatang", and has more than 30 varieties of peanut products.
Because the climate, soil and rainfall in Jiangsong Peninsula is perfectly suited for plant growing, peanuts in the area are high in sugar, low in oil, and have an especially sweet taste.
In 2017, the company's exports to Japan accounted for more than 20 percent of China’s total peanut exports, making it the leading peanut processing enterprise in Shandong province.
