The China-Japan-ROK Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum will run from June 24-26 in the city of Yantai, northeastern Shandong province, according to a press conference held on Tuesday.
The forum will invite government agencies, business associations, entrepreneurs, as well as top youth representatives from Japan as well as South Korea and offer them a platform to exchange startup experiences.
The forum, which is one of the sub-activities of the 2019 International Summit on Innovation and Development of Youth Entrepreneurs, consists of a main session, a sub-forum and surveys of local companies, which will help strengthen business links among the three countries and promote the city's healthy commercial environment and preferential policies for investment.
Organizers said Japan is the third biggest source of foreign investment in Yantai. By the end of the April, Yantai has attracted 1,198 Japanese-funded projects, with contractual capital utilization of $4.45 billion and $1.86 billion in capital currently employed.
South Korea is the largest source of foreign investment in Yantai. The city has attracted 3,859 South Korean projects with contractual capital utilization of $12.4 billion and $6.1 billion employed.
