Located 30 kilometers east of Yantai, Yangma Island covers an area of just 10 square kilometers.
Yangma Island is named after Emperor Qin Shihuang, the first emperor of the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC), who regularly rested his horses there while on his quest for the elixir of everlasting life.
The island has now become a health resort and has even been described as the "Oriental Hawaii". Resorts, hotels, and spas have all been established there.
Climbing across Yangma Island, overlooking the blue sea and sky and bathed in the sun's warming glow, visitors will soon find themselves bathed in peace and tranquility.
Yangma Island has been named a provincial tourist attraction.
