China's economy is developing stably and the market is prosperous, providing great opportunities for companies to grow, according to Plastic Omnium chairman Laurent Burelle, the Xinhua Agency reported on Monday.
The France-based automotive exterior parts and fuel systems provider is increasing its industrial network in China to tap into the world's leading automotive market.
"Plastic Omnium saw a 6 percent growth in China in the first half of the year, the company's revenue reached 268 million Euro (1.98 billion yuan), which accounted for 8 percent of the company's total revenue," Burelle said.
Burelle says the progress the company has made shows China is one of the most important regions for economic growth, globally.
"I'm positive of the world's biggest automotive market and I believe that, driven by strong consumer demand, we will make more impressive progress in the second half of this year in China," he said.
First entering China in 2007, the company is now established in seven major Chinese auto production areas (Shenyang, Beijing, Yantai, Shanghai, Wuhan, Guangzhou and Chongqing).
It also works with nearly all of the world's carmakers and has expanded its portfolio through new contracts with Volvo-Geely, FCA (Fiat Chrysler) Group and Daimler Group.
"We aim to improve our operation revenue to reach 1 billion euros ($1.08 billion) in China by 2018", Burelle said. "We will actively participate in the restructuring and upgrading of China's auto industry and build three more factories so the totally number of the factories reach 25."
Burelle says he is confident in the leading role China's economy plays in global economic development, and he believes that under the structure of the G20, China will work with countries to stamp out the difficult situations the global economy faces.
