The city of Yantai held tourism marketing event in Beijing on April 26, with "Summer Resort, Livable Yantai" as its slogan, designed to entice people from the capital to visit the seaside city.

Promotional films and advertisements also promoted Yantai as a "Wonderland with Mountains and Seas, Capital of Wine" and "Choosing Yantai to Achieve a Bright Future". Panels have been put on display at the exit of Beijing Railway South Station, as well as the key bus routes, such as the No.4, No.717 and No.691.
