Yantai's suburban farms and orchards produce a vast fruit harvest in early summer. Visitors can sample anything from blueberries and cherries, to grapes, pears, peaches, mulberries and apricots.

Fruit picking trips are available in almost all suburban districts and counties of Yantai. Zhaoyuan county is a popular destination for blueberry picking.

The Luoshan blueberry orchard is located at the foot of Luoshan Mountain Forest Park in Zhaoyuan and covers an area of 150 mu (10 hectares). It offers various fruit picking activities for a variety of fruit, including strawberries and apples.

The cost for blueberry picking is 20 yuan ($3.26) per person. Pickers can also take fruit home by purchasing the fruit at a rate of 60 yuan ($9.78) per 500 grams.

Aside from fruit picking, visitors can climb the mountain and taste rural delicacies.

Blueberries are nutritious and full of antioxidants, fiber, and vitamin C. They have been dubbed as "King of Berry Fruit."
