With frequent direct flights linking Qingdao, East China's Shandong province, to cities in South Korea, the coastal city has become a top destination for South Korean visitors to China.

In 2025, Qingdao handled 13,100 passenger flights to and from South Korea, carrying more than 1.85 million travelers, marking year-on-year increases of 12 percent and 22 percent, respectively. The Qingdao-Seoul express flights ranked second nationwide in both flight frequency and passenger volume, standing out as one of the busiest air corridors between the two countries.

"Flying here is very convenient. We can come whenever we want," said a frequent visitor from Busan, referring to the daily flights that take just 1.5 hours.

Many travelers praised the welcoming services at Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, noting its clean facilities, friendly staff members, clear Korean-language signs, and available translation devices. "First-timers can easily find their way," shared a tourist from Jeolla Province.

Boarding passes also offer added benefits, including discounts at popular restaurants and attractions such as Laoshan Mountain.

Getting around the city is straightforward thanks to its transport network. Whether by taxi, bus, high-speed train, or metro, visitors can easily reach popular spots such as the May Fourth Square and the MixC Mall.

More than just a destination, Qingdao fosters bilateral friendship. With its open environment and thoughtful services, it's no wonder so many travelers say: "Qingdao, I love you!"
