Geography
Jinxiang county is in the southwest of Shandong province and borders on Shandong, Jiangsu, Henan and Anhui provinces. The northern part is Taishan Mountain.
Ridong (Rizhao-Dongming), Jihe (Jinan-Heze), and Jixu (Jinan-Xuzhou) expressways pass through the county. The Beijing-Shanghai High-speed Railway runs adjacent to the county. National Road 105 runs from north to south through the county, and is only 20 km from Jining Qufu Airport.

Economy
In 2019, the county's GDP reached 20.92 billion yuan ($3.2 billion), up 4 percent increase year-on-year. Fixed asset investment increased by 4 percent. The general public budget surpassed 1.58 billion, up 7 percent. Total retail sales of consumer goods reached 14.32 billion, up 5 percent. The disposable income for rural residents averaged 33,677 yuan, up 7.8 percent, and that for urban residents averaged 17,777 yuan, up 9 percent.
