The 2024 Jinan Festival of Springs was kicked off in front of the Chaoran Pavilion by Daming Lake in Jinan on Aug 8. The opening event featured a variety of performances, including shows of guochao, or China chic, music, and poetry readings dedicated to the springs.

The opening theme film utilized cutting-edge "naked-eye 3D and artificial intelligence" technologies to showcase Jinan's spring culture and cultural landscapes, guiding the audience through a thousand years of history.

A highlight of the opening event was a spectacular 3D Mapping Show. Employing advanced technology and lighting, the show illustrated the stories of Jinan's springs through the four seasons, with Chaoran Pavilion serving as the canvas for a captivating virtual performance. The display left the audience in awe and created lasting memories.

This year's Festival of Springs aims to create a "spring carnival" shared by all, with a series of themed activities running until October. Upcoming events include a market featuring spring and intangible cultural heritage elements, a flower boat parade, and a poetry competition, attracting residents and tourists.
