The opera, scheduled for Jan 11 and 12 at 19:30 at the ASEAN Arts Center in Chengdu, narrates the story of Liu Hepu and his family during the tumultuous era of 1920s and 1930s.

The Swallow Wings Hall intricately weaves the tale of a family's demise and a nation's rebirth, embodying the spirit of sacrifice for the people and the nation.

Praised by critics for its cultural expression and seamless integration of traditional and revolutionary elements, the opera is recognized for its unique approach to red-themed storytelling.
