Binzhou promotes high-quality development of cultural tourism

In recent years, Binzhou has been integrating culture and tourism development, highlighting local elements such as Sun Tzu culture and red culture and developing a high-quality Yellow River culture tourism belt. These efforts have contributed to the transformation of Binzhou into a distinctive tourism city.

Binzhou in Shandong province is one of the birthplaces of Yellow River culture and Qi culture. Sun Tzu was a prominent military theorist and strategist during the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC). Huimin county is Binzhou is widely known as the birthplace of the legendary Chinese military strategist.

Over the years, Binzhou has vigorously promoted the military wisdom of Sun Tzu culture and comprehensively deepened the brand building of Sun Tzu culture. The Art of War and the wisdom of Sun Tzu have become well-known cultural brands in Binzhou.

A new cultural and tourism block highlighting Sun Tzu culture opened to the public in Binzhou this April. The scenic spot promotes and preserves Sun Tzu culture through a combination of military studies, interactive performances, and live shows. It had received 2.52 million visitors as of September.

Binzhou is home to the former site of the Bohai Revolutionary Base, which is located in Huimin county. It has become a stronghold for commemorating revolutionary martyrs and recalling the history of revolution.
