Shandong set to ensure strong start for low-carbon development

Shandong province is ramping up its efforts on development and reform in the second half of the year, aiming to accomplish various tasks and ensuring a strong start to the construction of its pilot zone for green, low-carbon and high-quality development.

The province will now focus on tackling key bottlenecks by introducing a number of pragmatic and effective policies. Shandong will also promote the high-quality development of its service sector and accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system.

It will continue to expand effective investment, concentrate on key projects at the provincial, municipal and county levels, and strives to attract more high-quality projects. 

Shandong will promptly introduce policies to boost consumption in the real estate and new energy vehicle sectors. It will also stimulate the vitality of its private economy, accelerate the construction of its credit system, establish a regular communication mechanism for serving private enterprises, and create a fair and just market environment. 

Shandong will advance its green and low-carbon transformation, optimize the layout of its traditional advantageous industries and emerging sectors, and promote the coordinated development of its modern industrial and the new energy systems. 

The province will strengthen its regional coordinated development, implement the national strategy for the Yellow River and give full play to its leading role as the city cluster in the Shandong Peninsula.

Additionally, Shandong will continue to pay close attention to food security, strengthen the guarantee of energy and power supply, and focus on effectively maintaining the security of its industrial and supply chains.
