Minghu International Cell Medicine Industrial Park in Jinan's Lixia district has already begun to take on a brand-new appearance thanks to the construction of glass walls.

The industrial park, which is slated to be finished in 2023 and is situated at the intersection of Jingshi Road and Fengshan Road, has already earned the nickname "east gate of the spring city".

Consisting of five buildings, the industrial park is the first complementary project for Jinan's biomedicine industrial chain and the first industrial park project that has been implemented since the industrial layout of the Jinan Area of China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone was launched.

After starting operations, the industrial park will bring in 50 to 70 scientist teams and companies that are engaged in frontier technologies such as cell treatment, genetic treatment and new-type medicine to carry out research and development, as well as clinical tests.

Lixia district, as the core area of Shandong's provincial capital Jinan, has been beefing up efforts to optimize its business environment, upgrade government services and increase policy support to attract more investment.

The district inked 26 project agreements with funding from outside Jinan between January and May of this year, including three agreements funded by China's top 500 companies and three agreements funded by Fortune Global 500 companies.
