Cultural week focusing on ICH kicks off in Shandong

The "Promoting revitalization of traditional handicrafts, boosting protection of intangible cultural heritage"event that puts the spotlight on the protection of intangible cultural heritages (ICH) in the Yellow River basin and along the Grand Canal kicked off in Tai'an, East China's Shandong province on Dec 23.

The event was jointly sponsored by the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and the Tai'an government, and will run until Dec 26.

A number of traditional cultural handicraft exhibitions and high-end forums will be held over the four days.

Shandong has abundant traditional cultural resources, and the activity will explore the cultural value of the Yellow River and the Grand Canal, and showcase the traditional cultural treasures of the province.
