Jining's GDP up 9.9% in Q1-3

The regional gross domestic product of Jining, Shandong province reached 369.19 billion yuan ($57.7 billion) during the first three quarters of this year, up 9.9 percent year-on-year and representing an average growth rate of 5.6 percent over the past two years, officials announced at a news conference held by the Information Office of the Jining Municipal People's Government on Oct 27.

The added value of the primary, secondary and tertiary industries increased 7.1 percent, 9.4 percent and 11 percent year-on-year respectively to 40.07 billion yuan, 150.58 billion yuan and 178.54 billion yuan.

The supply chain of agricultural produce has remained stable, with that of pork, beef, mutton and poultry growing rapidly.

The added value of the industrial enterprises above designated size increased 13.5 percent year-on-year and represented an average growth of 8.1 percent over the past two years.

Sixteen sectors, including the paper, rubber, general equipment and special equipment industries have maintained double-digit average growth over the past two years. Notably, the added value of the equipment industry rose 17.3 percent year-on-year and accounted for 19.1 percent of the industrial total.

During this period, fixed-asset investment in Jining increased 11.3 percent year-on-year, 2.6 percentage points higher than the overall average of Shandong province.

The city's imports and exports totaled 46.7 billion yuan, up 32.5 percent year-on-year. Of that, imports accounted for 14.79 billion yuan, up 18.5 percent, while exports were valued at 31.91 billion yuan, up 40.2 percent. The actual use of foreign capital was $843 billion, up 55.12 percent.

Meanwhile, total retail sales of consumer goods were valued at 184.37 billion yuan, up 18.6 percent year-on-year. 

Per capita disposable income was 24,430 yuan, up 10.1 percent year-on-year. Of that, the per capita disposable income of urban residents increased 9.2 percent to 31,527, while that of rural residents increased 12.2 percent to 16,199 yuan.
