A total of 75 enterprises in Shandong took part in the exhibition and displayed a wide range of products covering vegetables, fruits, cereals, oils, livestock products, condiments, leisure food, beverages and ingredients.

In addition, 30 overseas purchasers and traders also participated in the exhibition, during which more than 100 one-on-one negotiations were held.

RCEP member countries have always been important agricultural trade partners of Shandong, said local officials.

In 2020, the trade volume of agricultural products between Shandong and RCEP countries reached 89.42 billion yuan ($13.79 billion), with 69.35 billion yuan in exports and 20.07 billion yuan in imports.

Shandong has attached great importance to agricultural exchanges and cooperation with RCEP countries. Every year, it organizes bilateral dialogues, economic and trade cooperation talks, agricultural import and export expos and exhibitions to enhance mutual understanding and seek opportunities for more extensive cooperation.

With the signing of the RCEP agreement, agricultural trade between Shandong and RCEP member countries will be closer and cooperation areas will be broader, said local officials.
