The 2021 Senior Dialogue between Transnational Corporations and Jinan was held in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province, from May 27 to 28.

Jinan and Japan have had cooperation ties for many years. This cooperation is mainly focused on the fields of medical care, high-end manufacturing and environmental protection, said Masaru Igawahara, consul general of Japan in Qingdao at the conference.

Jinan has great development and market potential. Some Japanese companies such as Suzuki Motor and Nippon Electric Company have invested in the city. A large number of Japanese enterprises, such as Toray Medical and Canon, will also invest in Jinan in the future.

The conference provided a platform for enterprises to get to know the business environment and investment policies, said Igawahara. He hopes that more Japanese companies will start businesses in Jinan.
