Zibo in East China's Shandong province held a special activity on April 24 that aimed for the preservation and development of the ancient Qi culture, attracting thousands of visitors to come admire the traditional Chinese culture, according to a local news report.

The activity featured an array of colorful activities related to Qi culture, such as cuju, which is a form of Chinese football, Hanfu shows, guessing Chinese idioms, and playing pitch-pot games. Participants and visitors spoke highly of the event, saying that it offered them a great platform to experience the traditional Chinese culture.

Zibo is the birthplace of Qi culture and the capital of the ancient Qi state, one of the most powerful states in China for more than 800 years during the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC), as well as the Warring States Period (475-221 BC).
