The China-Japan-Korea Sports Culture Industrial Park opened to the public on Aug 11.

The park, located in the Yantai Economic and Technological Development Area, is the first international sports and culture industrial park in Shandong province.

The park will focus on attracting, supporting, and cultivating sports and cultural projects from Japan, South Korea, and China.

It aims to develop into a hub for sports and culture featuring competitions, exhibitions, conferences, training, research, winter and summer camps, and marketing centers. It will also offer catering, traveling, shopping, and entertainment services for visitors.

The park cost a total of 120 million yuan ($17.29 million) and started construction in 2018. It has a building area of 20,000 square meters.

There are currently eight sports and culture enterprises and three sporting events planned for launch in the area.

Officials said that the industrial park will attract more cultural and sports talent and enterprises and foreign-funded sports and cultural projects, which are expected to enrich the cultural and sports industries in Yantai.

The park will also serve as a platform for sports and cultural cooperation among China, Japan, and South Korea.
