Seven artists in Jinan, capital of East China's Shandong province jointly designed a set of large dough models to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
Dough modeling is a traditional Chinese folk art which can be traced back to the Han Dynasty (202 BC - 220 AD). Simple ingredients such as flour and sticky rice are combined and molded into various figures and scenes, which are then painted with bright colors.
The set of dough models, 3.65 meters long and 2.38 meters wide, consists of six parts and involves 186 distinctive characters, three camels and six missile launching trucks. [Photo/dzwww.com]
