Yantai's new Dade Wine Culture Museum, transformed from a 10,000-square-meter unused air-raid shelter, officially opened on April 16. The launch also marked the beginning of a wine culture experience activity hosted by Domaine de Long Dai.
The museum serves as a "city living room" for promoting wine knowledge and cultivating industry talent. It will offer public programs on wine culture and host Yantai's first bartending competition.
In a key partnership, the museum signed a strategic agreement with Domaine de Long Dai, part of the Lafite family. Charles, general manager of the Yantai-based winery, called the collaboration "a romantic encounter across 9,000 kilometers".
Local officials said the museum has turned a dormant bunker into a platform for cultural exchange and industrial growth. Yantai, already known as Asia's only "International Wine and Vine City", continues to strengthen its identity as a global wine hub.
