Shandong, located in the Bohai Economic Rim and sitting on the lower reaches of the Yellow River, is a coastal province in eastern China. It has a land area of 155,800 square kilometers and an adjacent sea area of 159,500 square kilometers. Its coastline is 3,345 kilometers long, taking up one-sixth of the country's total.
