While most flowers fade and trees shed their leaves in the city, Laoshan Mountain in Qingdao enters its most brilliant "color feast" of the year, thanks to its unique climate.
The red maples at Taiqing Palace glow like fire, while the ancient ginkgo trees in Huayan Temple shine in radiant gold. Between the sea and the mountains unfolds a scene of ultimate winter romance — if you haven't yet visited Laoshan in this season, now is the time.

The charm of Taiqing Palace is hidden among the crimson maple leaves along the roads, which peak from late November to early December. Strolling along the corridor in the Taiqing Palace scenic area, visitors are greeted by flaming maple leaves set against the ancient Taoist temple — a captivating winter tableau.
Surprisingly, vibrant life still flourishes within the temple grounds. Layers of fallen red and golden leaves mingle with evergreen plants, as if time has slowed here, preserving the brilliance of autumn and the lushness of summer in one tranquil frame.
