The launch of the service is a pivotal step in Qingdao Port's efforts to build a world-class logistic hub port and bolster Qingdao's transformation into an international shipping center by joining forces with shipping companies. This will further intensify the container service layout of Qingdao Port globally, streamline international corridors, strengthen trade exchange with the Middle East and further support for a high-quality Belt and Road Initiative.

Since 2024, Qingdao Port has made consistent strides in enhancing port efficiency and direct berthing rates to attract shipping companies to Qingdao. It has also worked with port-related institutions to enhance the business environment, reduce logistics costs, and strengthen communication with neighboring customers. The primary objective is to attract more imports and exports for the Qingdao Port and consolidate shipping services by ensuring sufficient freight capacities.

The new route provides a weekly service, deploying six vessels, with port calls including Singapore, Jebel Ali and Dammam. Notably, the fastest journey to the Middle East is only 20 days.
