The 2024 International Consumer Electronics Listed Companies Entrepreneur Qingdao Tour was held on Oct 17, serving as an important part of the 21st China International Consumer Electronics Expo.

The event attracted over 50 leaders from listed companies such as ByteDance, Huafang Co Ltd, Hisense Visual Technology Co Ltd, and Haier Smart Home. Discussions were held on topics related to development trends in the consumer electronics industry and new opportunities for cooperation, further promoting deep collaboration between Qingdao and listed consumer electronics companies.

Wang Bo, vice-mayor of Qingdao, delivered a keynote speech at the event, elaborating on Qingdao's strong foundation and future strategic layout in the consumer electronics sector. He showcased Qingdao as a hub for emerging industries at the national level, a pilot city for the new technological transformation of China's manufacturing industry, and a leading area for the innovative application of artificial intelligence.

Wang expressed hope for enhanced cooperation with listed consumer electronics companies in areas such as smart home appliances, automotive electronics, and artificial intelligence.

Qingdao has long attached great importance to the clustered development of consumer electronics. It has nurtured six national-level new industrialization demonstration bases in home appliances, electronic information, software, and information services, with the home appliances and electronic information industry base being the only one in the industry to receive a five-star rating for the past five years straight.

Qingdao is home to renowned domestic and international companies such as Haier, Hisense, and Aucma, and has introduced and fostered leading companies in the industry like BOE and Goertek. Cooperation with Global Fortune 500 companies such as Carrier from the United States, Toshiba from Japan, and Bosch from Germany, as well as global industry leaders like Fisher & Paykel from New Zealand, Invensys from the United Kingdom, Diehl from Germany, and Panasonic from Japan, has flourished in Qingdao, creating a cooperative, open, and mutually beneficial environment.

The event provided a platform for deepening cooperation and exchanges between Qingdao and listed consumer electronics companies. Qingdao will continue to strengthen its collaboration with domestic and international listed consumer electronics companies, optimize its business environment, and provide strong support for the development of the consumer electronics industry, which is expected to inspire more listed companies to operate in Qingdao.
