The launching ceremony of Qingdao International Communications Gateway Exchange took place in Qingdao, Shandong province on Sept 5, which brought the city great opportunities to upgrade its digital economy and enhance international cooperation and trade.

As one of the three international submarine cable landing points in China, Qingdao has the international data service capabilities to meet the requirement of creating a communication hub. With the launch of the gateway exchange, more cooperation opportunities among communication companies are expected for Qingdao, and will facilitate global trade through the application of intelligent and digital technologies in international communication.
