Qingdao Port, a subsidiary corporation of Shandong Port Group, has opened nine container shipping routes to Africa.
These routes primarily serve the export of electromechanical products, rubber products, chemicals, and other production materials, as well as the import demand for African bulk commodities such as minerals, timber, and pulp.
Since the beginning of this year, the value of imports and exports passing between Qingdao Port and Africa has increased by 8 percent year-on-year, accelerating the exploration of emerging markets in Africa and promoting the high-quality development of China-Africa economic and trade cooperation.
