Museums in Qingdao West Coast New Area gain national recognition
Qingdao West Coast New Area recently earned national recognition for its museums, with three institutions receiving assessments from the China Museum Association.
The Qingdao Binhai University Museum of Nature History was rated as a national second-class museum, while the Qingdao Film Museum and Qingdao Undersea Tunnel Museum were both rated as national third-class museums.
Assessments are based on a museum's management, infrastructure, collection management, scientific research, exhibitions, and social services.

The Qingdao Binhai University Museum of Nature History is the province's first 4A scenic spot to be located within a university. It spans 14,000 square meters across four main exhibition areas where natural history lovers can browse a collection of over 10,000 artifacts.

The Qingdao Film Museum, featuring a blend of Gothic and Baroque architectural styles, regularly updates its film and television themed exhibitions, develops related creative products, and offers educational opportunities for filmmakers. It also provides marriage registration and venue hosting.

The Qingdao Undersea Tunnel Museum is the first of its kind in China. Its 930-sq-m exhibition space details the world's undersea tunnels, the construction methods involved, the Jiaozhou Bay Tunnel's construction process, and the significance of the tunnel's construction.
