The Qingdao Olympic Sailing and Marine Culture Tourist Area, a major attraction in Qingdao, is rich in cultural and natural resources. It has evolved into an international marine cultural tourism destination that integrates sailing, seaside leisure, cultural experiences, marine studies, and exhibition tourism.

Since hosting the sailing events of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the area has captured global attention thanks to its unique location and world-class sports facilities, promoting Qingdao's image as China's Sailing Capital to the world.

In 2018, the Qingdao Summit of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held here, once again propelling Qingdao onto the international stage and highlighting its significant role in promoting regional cooperation and cultural exchange.

Earlier this year, the Qingdao Olympic Sailing and Marine Culture Tourist Area was officially designated as a national 5A-level tourist attraction, signaling that it has reached top-tier standards in tourism service quality, ecological environment protection, and cultural heritage preservation in China. It has become an important window for showcasing the charm of Qingdao's and China's marine culture and tourism.
