Qingdao Port, a subsidiary of Shandong Port Group (SPG), ranked fourth in the world according to an evaluation report on world-class ports. The report indentified 34 world-class ports including Port of Singapore, Rotterdam Port, Qingdao Port, Ningbo Zhoushan Port in Zhejiang province and Guangzhou Port. Qingdao Port and Ningbo Zhoushan Port have made significant progress, while Guangzhou Port is making its first appearence on the list.

Qingdao Port's reputation has improved as a result of SPG's integration reform, leading to increased cargo handling capacity, efficient coastline utilization and highly efficient operations. The port has also advanced in green and intelligent development.

Last year, Chinese ports made significant progress in green and intelligent development, with Qingdao Port receiving an S-grade evaluation for its international reputation among the top 10 sample ports in China.
