The steel framework for the Eye of the World project has finished, bringing it one step closer to becoming a local landmark and global exchange center. The project is slated for completion by the end of the year, eyeing a 2025 debut.

The Eye of the World is located in the core area of the start-up zone of the Qingdao International Cruise Port, covering an area of over 14,000 square meters, with a building height of 38 meters and a total of five floors. Installation of the project's facade curtain wall is expected to commence in June.

As the commercial and tourism hub of the Qingdao International Cruise Port, the project, will cater to tourism, commerce and leisure, featuring cross-border duty-free collection stores, boutique retail, luxury fashion, immersive dining, and more, serving as a regional flow port, enhancing supporting services, and contributing to the development of the international shipping trade and financial innovation port in Qingdao.

As a landmark building in the area and an international platform for shipping and cultural exchange, the Eye of the World project has been listed as a major project of the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) for the national comprehensive passenger transport hub.

According to the development plan, the start-up area will be centered on the Qingdao Origin Cultural Center and the Eye of the World distribution center, forming a core space and function.

The Eye of the World will be connected to Metro Line 2 and the Cruise Home Port Passenger Terminal, enhancing the convenience of transportation in the area, increasing passenger transport capacity, contributing to Qingdao's development, and promoting the city's integrated development with its port and industries.
