The much-anticipated Qingdao Jiaozhou Marriott Hotel opened on Jan 9. The hotel is the second Marriott-branded hotel in Shandong province and the first in Qingdao and is managed by Marriott International Group.

The high-end business hotel, located in the Shaohai Scenic Area of the Wetland Park in the Dagu River Resort, features a beautiful surrounding environment and excellent sightlines, in accordance with five-star standards.

It is a mere 15-minute drive from Jiaodong International Airport, a 20-minute drive from Hongdao High-speed Railway Station, and a 25-minute drive from Jiaozhou North High-speed Railway Station.

The exterior of the hotel is in the shape of a sailboat, and the double-layer glass curtain wall on the exterior provides natural lighting and a 270-degree view of the surrounding scenery.

The hotel has a 24-hour restaurant, a Chinese restaurant, 273 well-equipped rooms and suites with lake views, two specialty restaurants, a lobby lounge, an executive lounge, a banquet area with a total area of over 1,700 square meters, conference venues, a fitness center, an indoor temperature-controlled landscape swimming pool and other facilities, creating a comfortable and worry-free living environment for guests.

The Qingdao Jiaozhou Marriott Hotel is a cultural tourism project promoted by the Dagu River Provincial Ecological Tourism Resort. The hotel, which will apply for five-star status in 2024, is expected to receive 600,000 guests annually and create 300 jobs.
