Qingdao cradle for tech innovation centers

Four new provincial-level technology innovation centers have emerged in the city of Qingdao in East China's Shandong province , bringing the total number to 34, according to a recent announcement by the Shandong Science and Technology Department.
The new centers are the Shandong Province Deep Oil and Gas Measurement and Control Technology Innovation Center, Shandong Province Air Regulation Technology Innovation Center, Shandong Province Ship Power Technology Innovation Center, and Shandong Province Deep and Remote Sea Aquaculture Vessel Technology Innovation Center.
Eleven of Qingdao's provincial-level technology innovation centers are currently focusing on marine areas, covering such sectors as aquaculture, marine medicine, marine functional foods, marine corrosion protection, marine intelligent equipment, and smart ports.
Dedicated to exploring and developing deep and ultra-deep oil and gas resources, the Shandong Province Deep Oil and Gas Measurement and Control Technology Innovation Center focuses on continuous breakthroughs in four major areas: rotary guidance, high-speed transmission during drilling, measurements while drilling and well logging while drilling.
The Shandong Province Air Regulation Technology Innovation Center conducts research on intelligent air conditioning equipment with comprehensive air quality processing capabilities, relying on a cloud-based big data platform.
The Shandong Province Ship Power Technology Innovation Center focuses on the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of ships and marine equipment and strives to develop clean fuel ship engines such as methanol and ammonia and improve mineral fuel ship engines.
The Shandong Province Deep and Remote Sea Aquaculture Vessel Technology Innovation Center addresses forward-looking issues in the development of deep and remote sea aquaculture vessels. The center conducts key technical research on intelligent aquaculture and facility equipment, as well as precise nutrition and the quality of fish.
