The 2023 Asia Coast Rowing Masters Regatta took place in Tangdao Bay, Qingdao West Coast New Area, from Nov 11 to 12, attracting a total of 30 teams and more than 200 athletes from Asian countries and regions.

The event is the first international coastal rowing event held by the Asian Rowing Federation in China since 2020. The regatta featured various races such as the men's and women's 2.8-kilometer single sculls, mixed 2.8-km double sculls, mixed 2.8-km quadruple sculls with coxswain, men's and women's 2.8-km double sculls, men's and women's 6-kilometer double sculls, and mixed 6-km quadruple sculls with coxswain.

The venue for the two-day event, the Tangdao Bay National Wetland Park in the West Coast New Area of Qingdao, is a large coastal park built around the two promontories of Tangdao Bay.

The 2023 Asian Rowing Coastal Masters Regatta is a major international coastal rowing event that brings together rowing enthusiasts from around the world.

The regatta was one of the major international water sports events Qingdao West Coast New Area has hosted over the past years thanks to its good water sports foundation that allows for the development of trendy water sports and events such as sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, rowing, surfing, and fishing.

The New Area has served as a training base for outstanding athletes such as Incheon Asian Games kayaking champion Zhang Xinyue, Hangzhou Asian Games rowing champion Liu Xiaoxin, and two-time National Games sailing champion Wang Xiaoli.

At the ongoing first National Student (Youth) Games in 2023, athletes Gao Yukun and Gao Yutao from the New Area won the second place in the men's 500-meter double rowing and the men's 1000-meter double rowing championship.
