SPG has fruitful Central Asian visit

A Shandong government delegation visited three Central Asian countries including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan from Sept 2 to 9.
Chairman of Shandong Port Group (SPG) Huo Gaoyuan was a part of the delegation.
During the trip, SPG representatives visited eight partners as well as the Chinese Consulate General in Almaty and the Samarkand State Government. They also attended two conferences on cooperation and exchange and celebrations commemorating the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative, which was organized by the Shandong government delegation.
SPG representatives also signed five cooperation agreements and unveiled its Uzbekistan (Tashkent) overseas warehouse and held a seminar focused on the building of the Asia-Europe Land-Sea Trade Corridor. Several enterprises in Kazakhstan attended this event.
In Kazakhstan, SPG attended the China (Shandong)-Kazakhstan conference on cooperation and exchange and celebrations to mark the 10th anniversary of the BRI, as well as signed cooperation agreements with Kazakhstan Railways and Atasu Group regarding integrated supply chain services and other areas.
In Uzbekistan, SPG attended the China (Shandong)-Uzbekistan conference on cooperation and exchange and celebrations to mark the 10th anniversary of the BRI. It also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Uzbekistan Railway Container Transport Co Ltd, and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in the building of an integrated supply chain service system.
