The Qingdao Customs recently launched 30 measures to improve the business environment, facilitate cross-border trade, keep industrial and supply chains secure and smooth, and promote steady and solid progress in regional economic recovery.
As a gateway to the Yellow River Basin, Qingdao is an essential platform to boost economic development and trade between the eastern and the western regions around the basin, connecting land and river areas. Qingdao Customs will deepen communication and cooperation with ports, commerce, railways, and other departments in the basin and expand the replication and promotion of the "sea-rail combined transport" supervision model.
The Qingdao Customs will continue to support the construction of the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area in Qingdao. It will help build an international hub port in the zone, promote high-speed railway customs clearance services, and support improving and upgrading the comprehensive service platform for the zone.
Qingdao Customs will deepen customs and port cooperation, promote digital port transformation, and enrich and expand the "smart customs" facilitation scenarios.
Efforts will be made to speed up the development of port infrastructure and regional and international logistic corridors and ensure the stable and smooth functioning of regional industrial and supply chains.
It will set up a system that can expedite the process of inspecting and releasing imported bulk resource goods at ports. It can also simplify customs clearance for food and agricultural products, as well as aid in the establishment of demonstration ports for these goods.
It will optimize the supervision process of cross-border e-commerce export returns and support the pilot development of new barter trade settlement management.
