Expo brings benefits to local enterprises
The 2023 Japan-ROK (Qingdao) Imports Expo came to an end on June 23 in the coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province.
The expo attracted 600 exhibitors from China, Japan and South Korea; more than 200 professional buyers; and nearly 30,000 visitors. More than 10 high-end industrial dialogue activities on digital economy, health care, medicine, food were also held during the expo.
As an international trade cooperation platform, the expo has brought opportunities for local enterprises to tap into the international market.
Lihoo's, a food technology company headquartered in Qingdao's Chengyang district, benefited a lot from the expo. "We have met many outstanding Chinese and Japanese counterparts and expanded new cooperation channels with Japan. The expo really facilitates Qingdao enterprises to go out and expand their reach in the international market," said Fan Pengfei, one of the company's senior managers.
At the Sino-Japanese Food Enterprises (Qingdao) Cooperation Meeting, which was held during the expo, 20 Chinese and Japanese food enterprises negotiated with 50 buyers, and reached 101 initial cooperation intentions that involved a total purchase amount of 21 million yuan ($2.9 million).
