As the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Expo is fast approaching, Said Bobur, a young Uzbekistan man who also goes by the Chinese name Jin Weidong, has been increasingly busy working for the SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area (SCODA).

Over the past two years, he has made a bunch of foreign friends, and has participated in and witnessed the ongoing economic and trade cooperation within the organization and the development of the demonstration area.

Positive about the future development of the economic and trade relationship between China and Kazakhstan , Jin applied for a job in the demonstration area in 2021 and took on the role of a Russian and English interpreter for the planning exhibition hall and the SCO Economic and Trade Comprehensive Service Platform.

This is the first one-stop public service platform for economic and trade affairs in SCO countries. With the full support of the General Administration of Customs, the platform has realized a comprehensive service of "trade + customs clearance + logistics + finance" throughout the entire process and chain.

It has attracted over 4,800 enterprises to settle there – not only domestic companies but enterprises from various SCO member countries including Uzbekistan.

According to Jin's introduction, thanks to the SCO Economic and Trade Comprehensive Service Platform, economic and trade exchanges between the two countries have been elevated to a new level. Previously it would take a month to export goods from China to Uzbekistan; however, that has since been slashed to half a month or just over a week.

The upcoming SCO exhibition aims to facilitate further cooperation among enterprises from an increasing number of countries in order to achieve mutual benefits and win-win outcomes.
