Themed with "Talent Empowerment, Linking the Future", the 2023 Qingdao Jinjialing Financial Talent Conference was held on Feb 26 in Laoshan district of Qingdao, Shandong province.

Qingdao is witnessing a boom in its financial industry with optimized modern financial industrial chains linking a total of 292 financial institutions.

During the event, the Qingdao financial supervision bureau, the management committee of Jinjialing Financial District and Qingdao Talent Development Group reached an agreement to set up the "Qingdao Financial Talent Port", a platform integrating online and offline recruitment, internship training, policies, and public and market resources, to provide talents with full-cycle services of "introduction, training, employment and retention".

A district official said the talent port strives to make Qingdao a key distribution center for financial talents and a "weather vane" for job markets in Shandong and northern China. "It will promote the comprehensive reform of Qingdao's wealth management and finance."

Over the past six years, Laoshan has continued to take innovative measures to meet the development needs of multi-level financial talents. It allocated various types of reward funds worth at 51.63 million yuan ($7.46 million) to top financial talents, launched the first talent alliance in Shandong and issued a talent financial certificate reward policy.
