The Qingdao branch of the Chinese and South Korean Entrepreneurs Association was also launched at the event.
It aims to serve as a platform of exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and South Korean entrepreneurs and a systematic and efficient support system for Chinese and South Korean enterprises. It is also intended to provide business support such as consultations, information and business services for enterprises, and promote the complementary advantages and common development between Chinese and South Korean enterprises.
Chengyang district shares geographical proximity and cultural affinity with South Korea. It has created four "national firsts" with the largest number of South Korean-funded enterprises, the largest number of South Korean residents, the largest number of South Korean restaurants, and the largest number of local people visiting South Korea.
At present, more than 2,000 Japanese and South Korean companies and more than 400 Japanese and South Korean restaurants have opened their doors in Chengyang, and nearly 40,000 Japanese and South Korean people live and work in Chengyang.
Chengyang is further opening-up to Japan and South Korea and it is accelerating the construction of a pilot zone for China-Japan-ROK local economic and trade cooperation.
