The 31st Qingdao International Beach Festival will be held from Oct 15 to 19 in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province, according to a recent news conference.

A total of 17 activities including beach volleyball games, painting competitions, wrestling, swimming, sand sculpture competitions, and a beach-style wedding ceremony will be held.

The opening ceremony will be held on Oct 15 at the Qingdao No1 Bathing Beach, with a variety of performances such as a mixed chorus, judo and martial arts demonstration.

The festival has become a major event in Qingdao, offering a platform for more people to learn about beach culture and sports.
