22 Qingdao brands selected as China's 500 most valuable brands

Twenty-two brands in Qingdao were included in the list of China's 500 Most Valuable Brands of 2022, according to an annual report released at the World Brand Summit by the World Brand Lab, a digital marketing and brand valuation consultancy based in Beijing.

Five of them were in the top 100, namely Haier, Tsingtao Brewery, Hisense, Doublestar Tire, and Haier's industrial internet platform COSMOPlat.

This year's list includes 25 sectors such as food and beverage, the lighting industry, building materials, media, textiles and apparel, medicine and machinery.

The total value of China's 500 Most Valuable Brands was 30.97 trillion yuan ($4.59 trillion) in 2022, up 11.03 percent year-on-year.

According to the list, Qingdao has two world-class brands, Haier and Tsingtao Brewery, with brand values of 473.97 billion yuan and 218.23 billion yuan, respectively.

In addition to home appliances, tires, petrochemicals, food and beverage and other sectors with competitive brands, Qingdao's many emerging brands also occupied an important position on the list, which represents the booming development of Qingdao's new economy.

COSMOPlat, one of the city's representative industrial internet platforms, ranked 97th on the list with a brand value of 76.03 billion yuan. RRS Supply Chain Technology Co ranked 264th on the list with a brand value of 33.17 billion yuan.
