Foreign cultural exchange event kicks off in Qingdao
The 2022 "Looking at China • Foreign Youth Image Program (Shandong Travel)" activity kicked off at the Ocean University of China in Qingdao on May 9.
The event is a foreign cultural exchange project sponsored by the Institute of International Communication of Chinese Culture of Beijing Normal University and the Huilin Foundation.

Its goal is to help foreign youth experience and understand China, as well as to explore new expressions of Chinese culture in the global context, in order to increase Chinese culture's international influence and strengthen cross-cultural communication, exchange, and cooperation between Chinese and foreign youth.
Thirty-eight Ocean University of China students, including eight international students, will shoot nine short documentary films showcasing Shandong culture and communicating Chinese stories to the rest of the globe.
According to Liu Yong, vice president of the Ocean University of China, the event helps Chinese and international students improve mutual understanding, gain friendships, and grow together through mutual learning, and contribute their youthful strength to promoting cultural exchanges between China and other countries and building a community with a shared future for mankind.

The "Looking at China • Foreign Youth Image Program" event, which was established in 2011, has become a brand project that highlights the charm of China and promotes Sino-foreign youth exchanges.
