Yehudi Menuhin School, a world renowned music school in the United Kingdom, will open its only overseas branch school in the Qingdao West Coast New Area, local media reported.

The Qingdao branch, which will open in the fall of 2022, has started enrollment.

Lyu Siqing, a Qingdao-born violinist will serve as the headmaster of the Qingdao branch. Lyu is the first Asian violinist to win first place at the prestigious Paganini Violin Competition in 1987. He is now one of the most renowned violinists on the world stage.
